With deep roots in the agricultural heartland of Andhra Pradesh, we have direct relationships with certified farmers across tobacco-growing belts, cashew orchards, paddy fields, turmeric farms and spice-growing regions. We supply wholesale buyers, food manufacturers, commodity traders and agricultural processors across global markets.

Our roots lie deep in the land. Founder Subbarao Koppolu was an astute agriculturist whose profound understanding of cultivation inspired him to transition into commerce. He established KSR's first commercial venture in 1968, successfully steering its growth and anchoring our core principles until 1990.
The second generation, led by Rama Rao Koppolu, joined the leadership in 1981. Partnering closely with the founder, he expanded the family footprint with the launch of Sreenivasa Tobacco Company, injecting fresh strategic energy and deeper market relationships into the business.
Honouring our agricultural origins, we established Srinivasa Traders in 1987. We managed a high-capacity rice mill, dealing in premium rice grain varieties and supplying major domestic markets across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka until December 1991.
To reflect expanding market footprint and modern operational scaling, the firm transitioned and rebranded as Progress Tobaccos in 2000. Under the leadership of Rama Rao Koppolu, we supplied major industry players including ITC, PSS, GPI, Deccan Tobacco Company (DTC), ML & Co. Pvt. Ltd., and PTP.
Subba Rao Koppolu began his journey in 2013, involving himself in all aspects of business — from procuring tobacco and quality checking, to analysing markets and managing financial transactions. Starting as Managing Partner, he set the foundation to take the business to the next level with expanded agri-product categories.
Keeping pace with global demands and international trade dynamics, our managing partner co-founded KSR Exports in 2023. This milestone expanded our regional enterprise into an international powerhouse — taking decades of trade expertise onto the global stage with Tobacco, Cashew, Rice, Turmeric and more.

The statutory Tobacco Board of India regulates the cultivation, grading and commercial auctioning of Flue-Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco to maintain global quality standards.
KSR Exports is Tobacco Board registered and operates directly within this regulated agro-industrial chain — sourcing from certified growers in Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, processing through licensed GLT facilities, and exporting finished lamina to buyers across global markets.
Our Tobacco Processing Knowledge
From seedling production (300,000 seeds per ounce, grown in polystyrene float trays for 50–60 days) through field Topping & Suckering, Priming harvest and Flue-Curing (5–7 days, 37°C to 74°C) — to GLT factory threshing separating Lamina from Main Stem, Reconditioning, re-drying to 11%–12% equilibrium and packing into C-48 cartons — KSR Exports manages and understands the complete FCV tobacco supply chain end-to-end.
